Privacy Policy

This privacy policy covers quickmaps.io, the home of the Quick Maps WordPress plugin. It sets out what the site records, what the store keeps, and what the plugin itself collects.

What this site collects

Standard server logs record an IP address, a user agent, and a requested URL. We keep those for security and debugging, and they rotate automatically.

Analytics

This site runs Google Analytics 4 through Cloudflare Zaraz. Zaraz loads the tag at Cloudflare’s edge instead of in your browser. It still sets two cookies, however, named cfz_google-analytics_v4 and cfzs_google-analytics_v4. Google therefore receives page views, approximate location, and device details under its own privacy policy. We read that data only to see which guides people find useful.

Buying Quick Maps Pro

The store runs on WooCommerce. If you buy a license, then we keep your name, email address, billing details, and order history, because the purchase and its support require them. Payment details go to the payment provider and do not reach this server. WooCommerce also sets sbjs cookies, which record how you first arrived, so an order can be attributed to its source. Our terms of use and refund policy cover the rest of a purchase.

Embedded maps

Pages on this site demonstrate the plugin with live Google Maps embeds. When a map scrolls into view, your browser loads content from google.com, and Google may set cookies under its own privacy policy. That applies equally to any site using the plugin: the map iframe is served by Google, and no map data passes through this site or the plugin author.

The plugin itself

The Quick Maps plugin collects nothing. It has no telemetry, no phone-home, no account system. The only network request it causes is the visitor’s browser fetching the map from Google.

Your choices under this privacy policy

Block cookies in your browser and the site still works, although the maps will not load. To see or delete the data an order holds, just ask. We sell nothing to anyone, and we run no advertising trackers.
